Chlamydia is one of the most common bacterial Sexually Transmitted Infections in the UK. 1 in 10 young adults under the age of 25 who are having sex have it.
Chlamydia is easily passed from on during vaginal or anal sex. Rarely it is passed through oral sex and it has been known to affect the eyes if infected semen or vaginal fluid comes into contact with them.
Chlamydia can also be passed on by sex toys if they are not washed thoughly or covered with a new, unused condom each time they are used.
Most people who contract Chlamydia have no signs or symptoms. If you do have symptoms they may include: Pain passing urine or having sex, unusual discharge or bleeding after sex.
